Swisscom recently announced the transfer of its Trust Services division, which was until now a business area, to a separate public limited company on April 1, 2021.

This is done in light of the growing importance of trust services for digital business models. Defined as an “Aktiengesellschaft” (public limited company) under Swiss law, the company will operate under the name Swisscom Trust Services. This measure will consolidate Trust Services in one place. The new company will clearly focus on further expansion and expansion, which will put Swisscom Trust Services in the best position to meet the challenges of the digital economy in a globalized world.

The need to finalize contracts in an efficient, location independent and fully digital way continues to grow steadily. In highly regulated industries such as finance and healthcare, identifying clients, onboarding and signing contracts is still often a bottleneck in the customer experience. However, this is not limited to these industries: fully digital processes in the sense of the frictionless economy require methods that avoid the use of physical documents, which can be automatically integrated into companies’ products and services.

Swisscom Trust Services specializes in translating complex regulations, compliance rules and industry requirements into innovative processes and technologies.
